Obituary for Catherine E. Vincent
Catherine E. Vincent of Patterson, NY, passed away peacefully at her home in Patterson on December 8,2022 at the age of 86.
Catherine was born in New York City to Adam and Sophie (Hess) Steibeling, September 25, 1936.Catherine graduated from Carmel High School in 1954. She married David C. Vincent in 1956 at the Drew’s Methodist Church in Carmel, NY. David predeceased her in 2021.She worked for the US Post Office in Patterson for 14 years, retiring in 1999 and was a member of the Patterson Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Besides the love for her family Catherine loved to sew, do arts and crafts, cooking, and gardening.
Catherine is survived by her two daughters, Linda Vincent of Sebastian, FL and Debra Vincent of Wingdale, NY. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Turner. She will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday December 13, 2022, at 11:00am at Dwyer Funeral Home 23 South Street Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at Freedom Plains Cemetery, Lagrangeville, NY. Calling Hours will take place on Monday December 12,2022, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Dwyer Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Catherine’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society or American Dementia Association.
