Obituary for David C. Vincent

David C. Vincent, a resident of Patterson, NY for more than 50 years, died on Tuesday,
January 12, 2021 at Danbury Hospital Center. He was 85 years old.

Born on September 5, 1935 in LaGrange, NY son of Edward E. and Ella Mae (Post) Vincent. David attended schools in the Arlington school district and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
On September 22, 1956 he married the love of his life Catherine E. Stiebeling at Drew Methodist Church Carmel, NY.
Mr. Vincent was a Heavy Construction Foreman with the Local 60 Union. He was a member of the American Legion in Patterson, NY. David was a handyman and remodeled several homes. He loved his family, spending as much time with them as he could. They learned of his many interests such as hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and boxing. He had a green thumb and took pride in his vegetable gardens. David loved boating and travel.
David is survived by his loving wife Catherine of 64 years; his children; Linda Vincent of Sebastian, FL, Debra Vincent of Wingdale, NY, his brother Wesley Vincent of Newburgh, NY, his 6 grandchildren, James Cristello, David Bales, Cassandra and Oshane Thompson, Billy and Andrea Miner, Bianca Turner and Elizabeth Turner and 3 great grandchildren. Also, several nieces and nephews including Rosemary and Bob Birch. He was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth Turner in 2011 and his siblings, Marie and Edward Vincent.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Freedom Plains Cemetery, LaGrangeville, NY. Visitation will be held at Dwyer Funeral Home 23 South Street, Patterson, NY 12563 on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 4pm-8pm. www.dwyerfuneralhome.com
David’s family has asked that contributions in his memory be made to the American Legion Post in Patterson, NY.
