Doris J. Herdman, a 20-year resident Patterson, NY, died peacefully at home on October 22, 2018. She was 90 years old.
Born on October 28, 1927 in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Arthur A. and Emma (Mander) Wells. Doris was a graduate of Evander Childs High School in the Bronx.
On January 26, 1952 she married the love of her life John E. Herdman. John predeceased his wife on December 8, 2006.
Mrs. Herdman is survived by her son Arthur J. Herdman (Laura) of Patterson, NY, her grandchildren; Arthur J. Herdman Jr, Michael Herdman, Thomas Herdman and Amanda Herdman; daughter-in-law MaryAnn Herdman, grandchildren, Julieann Herdman and Melissa Herdman, her great granddaughter Aria. She was predeceased by her son John E. Herdman III and her brother Arthur A. Wells.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday October 25th, 2018 at 7pm at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the next day at 11am at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
