Obituary for Evelyn L. Armistead (Lundelius)
Evelyn L. Armistead, age 77, a 62 year resident of Patterson, NY, died on August 20, 2020 in Pawling, New York.
Evelyn was born on July 14, 1943 in White Plains, NY to Paul Martin and Bodina Marie (Carstensen) Lundelius. She was a graduate of Carmel High School.
Evelyn married Richard G. Armistead on in Mahopac, NY. Mr. Armistead died on September 9, 2015.
Evelyn was an Assistant Supervisor with the Motor Vehicle Department in Carmel, NY for over 25 years, retiring in 1999.
Evelyn was a very charitable woman, a good Samaritan. She loved animals as well as her family and friends.
Evelyn also enjoyed her crafts. Whether it was homemade wreaths or something altogether different.
Evelyn is survived by brothers John and Paul Lundelius and her sister Anita Smith; her grandchildren, Jake Thomas Bricta, Jennifer Armistead and Michael Armistead Jr.; her step-sons, Michael and Anthony Armistead; her niece Patty Ann Schwerkolt of Patterson, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Melissa “Missy’ Bricta in 2011.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 10AM at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. www.dwyerfuneralhome.com
