Obituary for Francis J. "Fran" Busolt
Francis J ‘Fran’ Busolt, A lifelong resident of Pawling, New York, died on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the age of 71.
Fran was born November 9, 1949, in Patterson, New York to George Anthony and Anne Marie (Mueller) Busolt. He graduated from Pawling High School.
On November 11, 1972, he married the love of his life, Mary Eileen ‘Chickey’ Kilgus at St. Williams Church in Seaford, NY. Chickey passed on April 24, 2009
Fran worked as a self-employed carpenter for forty years. He was a quiet man who enjoyed bird watching and tending to his yard. He loved being surrounded by his family and cherished his three grandchildren. Fran enjoyed fundraising events for the Ryan McElroy Foundation and his dear friend Butch. In 2018, he was awarded Honorary Deputy Sheriff of Dutchess County for his extensive community service. Fran enjoyed his annual vacations in Rhode Island with his loving wife Chickey and their close friends Gip and Denise.
Fran is survived by his daughter, Michelle Boo of Pawling, NY, and his son Jeremy Busolt (Gina) of Brewster, NY; his granddaughters, Shannon Nicole Boo and Alyssa Lynn Boo of Pawling, NY; his grandson, Jonathan Busolt of Brewster, NY and his three brothers, George, Joseph, and Anthony Busolt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 10 a.m. at St. John ‘The Evangelist’ Church in Pawling, NY. Interment will follow in Quaker Hill Cemetery in Pawling. Friends may call on Tuesday June 1st from 4-7 p.m. at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY.
