Plunkett, Steven B., of Urbandale, IA, formerly of Clinton, TN and Patterson, NY, died Friday December 16, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. He was 51 years old.

Mr. Plunkett was born on April 30, 1965 in Bridgeport, CT, son to Francis A. and Katherine ‘Kay’ (Brandon) Plunkett of Patterson, NY. Steven graduated from Carmel High School in 1983. Following graduation Steven lived in Patterson, NY until 2007 where he then moved to Tennessee to live with his sister Kathleen and for the past year lived in Urbandale, IA with his brother Frank.

Steven was a landscaper and also a construction worker assisting with the assembly of modular homes. He enjoyed country music, NASCAR and the outdoors. He had a love for animals whether it be dogs or his childhood pet cow. Steven’s greatest love was for his family.

Mr. Plunkett is survived by his parents and his 9 siblings; Frank E. (Donna) Plunkett of Urbandale, IA, James (Elaine) Plunkett of Pawling, NY, Linda (Paul) Cochrane of Patterson, NY, Kathleen (George) Mooers of Clinton, TN, Dyane Plunket of Pawling, NY, Debra Plunkett of Patterson, NY, Sandra Plunkett of Patterson, NY, Jaime Vaguera of Escondido, CA and Sheila Monti of Effort, PA, and his 14 nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on December 27, 2016 at 10am at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South Street, Patterson, NY. Interment will follow at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Patterson, NY. Friends may call at Dwyer Funeral Home on December 26, 2016 from 4pm-8pm. www.dwyerfuneralhome.com
